About the position

We are seeking a motivated and driven individual to lead one of the two the Ranger teams, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality compliance services to the community. Applications are encouraged to be submitted by experienced Rangers, or those who have significant experience in a related field.

The incumbent of this role will deliver and operationally lead an efficient and effective ranger service to the community, enforcing legislation, local laws, and policies. This includes planning, monitoring, and reporting to support continuous improvement.

On a day-to-day basis the Team Leaders are a point of contact for their respective team. During their day-to-day activities, the team leaders ensure their own workload is managed in conjunction to ensure their teams are meeting predetermined key performance indicators.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Proven experience in leading and supporting operational teams.
  • Diploma or higher education in a relevant field.
  • Completed Municipal Law Enforcement A and B or Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills (ROCS) 1 & 2.
  • Demonstrated ability in the interpretation and enforcement of statutes, associated regulations, local laws, and policies relevant to Ranger Services.
  • Experience in animal handling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and time management skills.
  • Physical fitness at a standard necessary to carry out Ranger duties.
  • Good understating of Occupational Safety & Health principals and responsibilities.
  • Advanced problem solving, investigation skills, conflict resolution, and negotiation and conciliation skills.
  • Sound knowledge of investigative techniques and procedures.

Base salary: $97,455 to $104,959 per annum + penalties.
