Kare Kanine is opening its first grooming salon in East Maitland. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic head groomer/salon manager to help us grow into a successful store.

The salon is equiped with brand new and modern equipment, is fully air-conditioned and designed for a fun, safe and positive work environment. We care about the health and wellbeing of our canine customers and staff not just how many numbers we get through a day.

What the job entails:

Manage the daily operations of the store

Direct and organise other staffs daily jobs

Complete all breed clips to a high standard with care both independently and with grooming assistants

Assist in staff training and up skilling where required

Insure workplace health and safety

Completing in person assessments and quotes for grooms

Work closely with caring and dedicated owners to achieve store goals, maintain a happy work environment

Bring creative and exciting ideas to the store with your skills and experience

Be available 5 days a week Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm (some flexibility can be discussed to your schedule).

Positive and enthusiastic attitude

Confidence working with and completing all breed dog clips

Have gentle and confident handling skills

Able to communicate politely and clearly with customers in regards to grooming expectations and realistic outcomes.

Able to quote service prices based on coat conditions and desired outcomes

Ability to help maintain and happy work environment

Confidence directing and managing staff

Experience working in or managing a salon environment
