About the role
Marion Care' is seeking passionate and dedicated highly qualified experience Senior Disability Support Workers to join our team. In this part-time, or casual role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality complex care and support to young and elderly individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate actively in their community. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of the people we support.
What you'll be doing
Assisting clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
Accompanying and supporting clients during social and recreational activities, promoting their independence and community involvement
Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs are met with empathy and respect
Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records
Collaborating with the wider care team to develop and implement individual support plans
Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Applicant must have:
Certificate III or IV in disability/individual support and aged care
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar disability support role, or a relevant qualification in community services, social work, or a related field.
Very experience in providing complex care and management like seizures, diabetes, peg feed, high behaviors management and care
A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities and a commitment to improving their quality of life
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
Clam, Patience, empathy, a non-judgmental, and positive attitude
The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
A valid Australian full driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (desirable) with comprehensive car insurance.
