Migrant Resource Centre Tasmania (MRC Tas) provides access to valued services and promotes the needs of multicultural communities. The Phoenix Centre provides a range of specialized mental health support services for people from a CALD background, including survivors of torture and trauma, and is the Tasmanian member of the Forum of Australian Services for Survivors of Torture and Trauma (FASSTT).

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Worker - Mental Health and Wellbeing to join our Phoenix Centre team. This key position is responsible for coordinating the delivery of mental health projects across Tasmania, including direct service delivery as needed.

In this role, you will develop non-clinical programs for individuals, capacity building and community development with multicultural communities, provide support and guidance to Program Officers, and provide training and capacity building to external services. As Senior Worker, you will also play a lead role in delivering the Tasmanian Transcultural Mental Health Network.

The successful candidate will have:

Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or related disciplines

Knowledge and experience in project management

Ability to develop and deliver community capacity building activities

Ability to deliver training to external stakeholders
