Educational Leader at Paisley Park Newtown
Paisley Park Early Learning Centres
Posted 8 days ago
We seek an Educational Leader at our Long Day Care Centre in Newtown, Geelong.
The Educational Leader will be responsible for supporting the educators in implementing high-quality programs at the centre. Working both on and off the floor, the Educational Leader will mentor the team in their daily practices to ensure they are engaged in quality teaching and delivering a program that meets the National Quality Standard, particularly Quality Area 1.
Paisley Park implements a unique Quality Improvement Training Program that embeds professional learning in everyday practice. A significant component of our framework is in-house reflective mentoring, which can take place during or outside working hours. The Educational Leader is responsible for supporting the Director in facilitating monthly professional engagement sessions, including preparing presentations and reporting on the progress of improvement to the broader Paisley Park family. We host monthly Educational Leader Professional Learning sessions to ensure that our Educational Leaders across all Paisley Park Centres work collaboratively, are supported and motivated to carry out their daily duties with competence and confidence.
There are many reasons why this role is perfect for a candidate who has reached a stage in their teaching career where they can take on greater operational responsibilities, as well as demonstrate the ability to lead, manage, and deal with everyday challenges while reaping all the rewards that Paisley Park has to offer.
We do provide time ‘off the floor’ for implementing many tasks that require focus. However, there is a requirement for the Educational Leader to be engaged with teams across numerous age groups in everyday routines, practices and programs. This means the candidate must be passionate about being present with the team and not just sitting behind a desk, handling administrative duties. We are particular about our Educational Leaders checking in with our Lead Educators and role-modelling best practice principles. This means they must be willing to be accountable and work with each team member to reach their professional learning goals.
Paisley Park provides many rewards, bonuses, and everyday perks to Educators in our family. We encourage you to engage with us in conversation to find out more about what we do for our teams and why.
To be eligible for this role, you must live in Australia and have experience working with children. You must also have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
