Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Design Engineer to join our ARCW/IEN design team. The successful candidate will join a motivated design team undertaking new Telstra ARCW designs along with existing IEN patrols and inspections while ensuring adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and project timelines.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.

Coordinate project resources including personnel, equipment, and materials.

Monitor project progress and track key milestones and deliverables.

Identify and resolve project issues and risks in a timely manner.

Ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications, and standards.

Communication and Stakeholder Management:

Facilitate effective communication among project team members and stakeholders.

Schedule and conduct regular project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and action items.

Provide project updates and reports to project stakeholders, management, and clients.

Address stakeholder concerns and ensure their requirements are understood and met.

Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and coordinate their activities as required.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate project documentation, including developing project plans, project reports schedules, and meetings.

Generate regular status reports, progress updates, and project metrics.

Prepare and distribute project related documentation to stakeholders as necessary.

Ensure project delivery documentation is properly organized, stored, and archived.

Quality Assurance and Risk Management:

Monitor project quality standards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.

Identify and mitigate project risks and issues to minimize impact on project objectives.

Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to verify adherence to specifications.

Assist in conducting project evaluations and lessons learned sessions.

Team Support and Collaboration:

Collaborate with project team members to ensure alignment and coordination of activities.

Provide support and guidance to project team members, as needed.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the project team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in project coordination or management in the telecommunications industry.

Strong knowledge of Telstra systems, technologies, and infrastructure.

Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Proficiency in design tools including AutoCAD and MS Office suite of programs
