Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
End to End Weekly Payroll including Superannuation, Payroll tax and Workcover processing for approx. 15-20 employees
End to end Accounts Payable and Receivable duties
Manage and process financial documents
Bank reconciliations
Taking customer deposits
Preparation of Cashflow forecasts & Budgets
Process customer payments and accurately allocate to relevant accounts
Lodge and payment of BAS, PAYG, Super and Payroll Tax
Develop and foster positive relationships with internal employees and external customers
Provide support to the Managing Director where required and other adhoc duties
Managing Insurance of company assets
Manage our external IT provider
Assist with rostering and answering phone calls
Ensure all documents & invoices are filed appropriately
Ideal Candidate
Bookkeeping qualification
Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in bookkeeping
A good knowledge of Payroll and BAS preparation
Excellent knowledge of XERO
Previous experience in a similar Bookkeeping or Senior Accounts Officer position
Strong technical knowledge with a passion for understanding core financial principals and delivering a high quality of service
Superior attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Honest, reliable and dedicated worker
Excellent verbal and written communication
Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Ability to confidently work autonomously, as well as act as a team player to operate collaboratively
High level customer services skills and ability to build positive working relationships
Leadership characteristics and ability to lead a team as well as follow directions
Is super-efficient at what they do
Is used to juggling multiple tasks for different clients in different industries at the same time.
Can work autonomously
Has had experience in a similar role
Is great with technology
Enjoys working quickly - they thrive off getting stuff done fast but also accurately!
Loves a good task list to tick off as they go throughout the day
Experience in construction industry as a bookkeeper is favorable.
