About the role

We're seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our vibrant and fast-paced team at Dentist for Chickens in Edgeworth, NSW. As a Dental Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our dentists and ensuring our feathery patients receive the best possible care. This is a casual position, offering a flexible work schedule to suit your lifestyle.

What you'll be doing

Assisting dentists during dental procedures, including sterilising instruments, preparing treatment rooms, and handing instruments to the dentist as needed

Interacting with patients, to ensure they feel comfortable and at ease throughout their visit

Maintaining accurate patient records and updating dental charts

Ordering and managing dental supplies and equipment

Promoting excellent customer service and a positive patient experience

What we're looking for

Minimum 1 year experience as a Dental Assistant, preferably in a general dentistry practice

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, dentists, and the wider team

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate patient records

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Familiarity with dental equipment and procedures, and a commitment to maintaining a sterile and organised work environment

Enthusiasm for providing exceptional customer service and a passion for the healthcare industry
