About the role

Lead the strategic transformation of health information and data governance across NT Health. In this senior leadership role, you will drive the development of effective, standardised systems for clinical and administrative data to support Territory-wide healthcare planning, delivery, funding, and compliance.

Lead strategic review and management of information governance functions and policies

Implement best-practice systems for consistent, high-quality data management across all NT health services

Foster a culture of information sharing and support the development of electronic medical records foundations

Provide expert advice on recordkeeping, data systems, scanning and digital record management

Oversee the development of NT-wide data standards including a data dictionary and minimum dataset

Ensure robust, fit-for-purpose data systems for reporting, funding, planning and statutory compliance

Promote safety and service quality in alignment with WHS standards

Model positive workplace culture through strong leadership

Skills & Experience

Essential

Extensive experience in senior information management within complex, multi-facility healthcare settings

Demonstrated expertise in implementing data and systems standards across multiple environments

Strategic thinker with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across the health system

Strong understanding of relevant health information management legislation and regulatory frameworks

Proven ability to lead and inspire large teams to deliver high-quality outcomes across a division

Desirable

Bachelor of Health Information Management

Postgraduate qualification in Business, Information Systems, Epidemiology or related field
