About the role
Drive NT Health’s information and data governance strategy at a system-wide level. In this senior leadership position, you’ll lead the strategic transformation of health information management across the Territory to ensure standardised, compliant, and best-practice systems that enable accurate data for care, funding, planning and reporting.
Lead the NT-wide information management and data governance strategy
Oversee planning, development and implementation of enterprise data systems
Build a strong information-sharing culture and guide electronic medical records transition
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory frameworks
Develop minimum datasets, data dictionaries and system-wide reporting tools
Provide expert advice on digital records, scanning and storage systems
Champion high-quality workplace practices and cultural leadership
Skills & Experience
Essential
Minimum 15 years’ experience in senior information management roles
Deep understanding of health information systems across multi-facility health environments
Proven leadership in implementing data standards and system-wide practices
Expertise in relevant legislation, data security and recordkeeping compliance
Ability to lead large teams and foster high performance across divisions
Strong stakeholder engagement and strategic advisory capabilities
Desirable
Degree in Health Information Management
Postgraduate qualification in Business, Information Systems, Epidemiology or related fields
