About the position
The successful candidate will be predominately responsible for undertaking footpath grinding – both reactive works and as part of programmed maintenance. In addition, you’ll contribute to paved footpath repairs and support other teams as needed, performing a range of general civil maintenance tasks.
Candidates are also being sought to complete works in our programmed and reactive road maintenance and unsealed footpaths team. Familiarisation of associated plant and duties required to undertake these works is essential to these roles.
Reporting to Team Leader Civil Maintenance, these positions help maintain and repair council infrastructure such as roadways, footpaths and kerbs.
Key responsibilities include:
Work with the Team Leader to complete programmed and reactive civil works
Use equipment safely and perform regular safety checks
Identify and manage risks at worksites and ensure safety standards are followed
Help train and mentor new team members
You will be rostered on a 9-day fortnight schedule, optimising your work time while offering flexibility.

Work Zone Traffic Management (WZTM) / Temporary Traffic Management (TTM)
HR Licence (MR Licence minimum may be considered)
Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)
Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical and police check.
