About the Role
As a Senior Dentist, you will deliver both general and complex dental services in a culturally safe and holistic primary healthcare setting. You will lead and mentor a team of dental staff, including early-career dentists and oral health therapists.
This role involves working closely with allied health professionals, students, and community partners to ensure coordinated service delivery, uphold clinical excellence, and promote oral health throughout the Greater Shepparton Aboriginal community.
Additional responsibilities include:
Mentoring students and clinicians
Maintaining clinical accreditation standards
Participating in health planning and evaluation meetings
Supporting continuous service improvement initiatives
About You
You are a skilled and confident dental practitioner who is passionate about improving community health. You bring:
Registration with AHPRA and 2–3 years' experience as a Dental Officer in Australia
A current Radiation Licence and valid Indemnity Insurance
The ability to be credentialed with RAC and maintain your Scope of Practice
Extensive experience in general oral healthcare and infection control
Experience supervising staff and students in public or community health settings
A sound understanding of Aboriginal culture and the social determinants that impact health
A team-oriented, respectful, and collaborative approach
Strong written and verbal communication skills
What We Offer:
· Free Award $142K -158K annual salary (depending on qualifications and experience)
· Salary packaging of $15,900 available for Part- or Full-time employees.
