Are you a people-person with a soft spot for furry friends? We’re looking for a warm, organised, and enthusiastic receptionist to join our friendly team at our small animal veterinary clinic!

At DVH, we pride ourselves on providing compassionate, high-quality care for pets while creating a supportive and welcoming environment for our clients—and our team. As the first friendly face our clients see (both two-legged and four!), you’ll play a key role in creating a positive experience from the moment they walk through the door.

And here’s the best part—based in the tropics of the NT, Darwin is one of the most beautiful tropical areas in the country, surrounded by nature and bursting with things to see and do. Known for its fishing, camping and hiking, the world-famous national parks such as Kakadu and Litchfield offer exceptional scenery and breathtaking views. Prefer something more chilled? You’ll love the water-view spots surrounding the city of Darwin and the friendly, like-minded locals who make this community so special.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Greeting clients and their pets with a warm and welcoming attitude

Answering phone calls and booking appointments

Managing the day-to-day running of the front desk

Processing payments and maintaining accurate records

Assisting with administrative tasks to support our veterinary team

Keeping the waiting/reception area clean, tidy and organised

Assisting in waiting-room advertisements, displays and overall presentation

Who We’re Looking For:

Excellent communication and customer service skills

A positive, can-do attitude and a team player spirit

Organised, reliable, and able to multitask under pressure

Comfortable using computers and learning new systems

Previous experience in admin, reception, or customer service is a big plus—but not essential

Experience with animals or in the veterinary industry is lovely to have—but again, not essential. We’re happy to train the right person!
