Role opportunity:
We're seeking an Operations Accountant to join a fast-paced finance team in the Oil & Gas industry. You'll support a wide range of financial tasks and work closely with teams across the ABU. This role offers variety, collaboration, and strong exposure to business operations.
CPA/CA qualified or currently working towards accreditation is required.

Essential qualifications and skills:
• Bachelor's degree in business (Accounting) or equivalent, and midway through or completion of CA/ CPA accreditation
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in the Oil and gas sector, Mining industry or Mid-tier accountancy firms
• Confident with financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis
• Strong attention to detail with a knack for spotting anomalies and errors
• Clear communicator and flexible team player who works well with teams across the business, including offshore operations
• Experience with SAP is a plus, but not essential

Duties and responsibilities:
• Manage tax compliance and support audit processes with accurate reporting and documentation
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and oversee month-end close activities
• Collaborate with other departments and business units to ensure accurate financial operations
• Provide day-to-day support and oversight for accounts payable and receivable functions
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies across accounting operations
