The Opportunity:

We’re working with a successful and growing Australian business that’s in need of a steady, hands-on Accountant to support them through a short-term, high-impact project. With a recent acquisition and a transition to new accounting software in motion, they need someone who can jump in and provide immediate support across general ledger tidy-up, budgeting, and system setup.

This role is perfect for someone looking for part-time hours (school hours, or 3 days a week) and available to be on-site for the duration of the assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and correct GL entries across Xero and MYOB

Assist with budget data entry

Tidy and restructure the Chart of Accounts

Support balance sheet reconciliations

Prepare completion accounts and assist with general ledger clean-up

Verify AP and AR balances

Provide ad hoc support to the team during the acquisition integration

About you:

Confident with debits and credits, GL structure, and core accounting functions

Experienced working with multiple accounting software's

Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal hand-holding

Available part-time, but open to being on-site for the full project

Comfortable with a short-term role and happy to get stuck into a bit of everything

Ready to start ASAP
