Where you'll be working
SESLHD?s Sexual Health and Blood Borne Virus?Services (SHBBV) provides leadership,?innovation and research in the sector. Services within SHBBV are involved in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of Sexually Transmissible?Infections (STIs) and blood borne viruses at an individual and population level within SESLHD, as well as four statewide services.
?
Across these services, care is provided via fixed locations and outreach networks to a client base of approximately?28,000 individuals. SHBBV has?highly skilled and diverse staff including nursing, medical, allied health, health promotion, administrative and technical staff. It is the largest SHBBV service in Australia.
The Albion Centre is one of three facilities within the Sexual Health clinical services which also includes Sydney Sexual Health Centre and Short Street. These services provide free testing, treatment and management to people effected be HIV, sexually transmitted infections, viral hepatitis as well as Transgender and gender diverse care.
What you'll be doing
A key focus of the position is to provide a range of specialist services including HIV management, sexual health assessment, screening and treatment, pre and post exposure prophylaxis, vaccination, health promotion, and care to Transgender and gender diverse clients. The role is primarily based at the Albion Centre.
The role will work in collaboration with local interdisciplinary teams to ensure a streamlined approach to client centred delivery of care across the three Sexual Health facilities. Cross facility support and travel may be required where necessary.

Selection Criteria
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience working in HIV, sexual health and Trans and Gender Diverse healthcare or demonstrated interest in working in HIV, sexual health and Transgender and Gender Diverse healthcare.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced environment whilst ensuring safe, effective and a high standard of care.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the issues and needs of priority populations attending a publicly funded sexual health service.
- Computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems E.g. Electronic Medical Records (eMR) system, client booking systems and online results management.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
- Current drivers licence (or a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
