Safe Place Therapy is a unique private practice with clinics located in Epping and Footscray, as well as providing Telehealth services. We pride ourselves on our client-focused approach to therapy, and strive to provide all of our clients with a safe place to share their stories and their worries with us. The Opportunity
We are looking to recruit a Registered Psychologist to join our growing team. We have a vacancy for a part-time position at our Footscray location. We offer competitive renumeration above award rates based on qualifications, experience, and skill set. We allow considerable flexibility with working hours and offer weekend hours if these suit your needs.
You will be supported by a team of colleagues, Clinic Leads and our administrative and marketing team.
The role:
· Providing high-quality mental health counselling and psychotherapy to clients with a range of presentations
· Managing some administrative requirements
· Participating in informal workplace debriefings
Requirements:
· Full registration with AHRPA
· Current Professional Indemnity insurance
· A Working with Children Check (WWCC)
· A current police check (National Police Certificate)
· Australian resident
· Willing to work with a range of presentations
· Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
· Ability to engage with clients effectively
· Good time management and organisational skills
· Excellent verbal and written skills for communicating with clients and referrers
Applicants who indicate a willingness to work with young people, families, and in relationship counselling will be viewed favourably. Previous experience in private practice settings preferable but not essential.
The shortlisted candidates will be required to undertake a mock session with the employer and a staff member to ensure counselling style and approach match with our values.
