About the role

Coastwide Steel & Metalwork is seeking an experienced Steel Draftsperson / Project Co-ordinator to join our team in Tuggerah, NSW. This is a full-time position that will see you playing a key role in the delivery of engineering / construction projects for our diverse client base including Large commercial projects and smaller domestic builders.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and reviewing Workshop Fabrication drawings, designs and specifications for our steel fabrication projects

Coordinating the project management lifecycle, including liaising with clients, suppliers and contractors

Ensuring project deliverables are completed on time and to the required quality standards

Providing technical expertise and advice to the workshop and site installation teams.

Contributing to the continuous improvement of our Fabrication processes and documentation

What we're looking for

A Keen self-starter with Steel / Engineering Drafting or a related discipline

Able to take site measurements using, traditional and digital tape measure, Laser levels & Spirit Levels

Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar steel drafting or project coordination role

Proficiency in the use of CAD software, including AutoCAD - other Programs like Tekla, advance steel advantage but not crucial.

Strong technical understanding of steel fabrication, construction and engineering principles

Excellent communication and management skills

Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment

Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
