THE OPPORTUNITY

Viva Leisure parent company to Plus Fitness one of Australia’s leading fitness companies are looking for a new Club Manager to join the team on a permanent full time basis in Footscray Our mission is to connect health and fitness to as many people as possible and we aim to provide our members with affordable, accessible and awesome facilities.

Founded in 2004, Viva Leisure operates fitness clubs within the health and leisure industry. We have a trajectory of growth as the largest independent health club operator in Australia and are the first fitness facility operator to list on the Australian Securities Exchange.

This role is more than just a Club Manager and provides exceptional leadership, management and passion for health and well-being to all members and employees associated with Viva.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The skills & qualifications we are looking for:

First Aid (if not holding, would be willing to acquire)

CPR (if not holding, would be willing to acquire)

Working with Vulnerable people check (if not holding, would be willing to acquire)

Driver's licence and access to a vehicle

Relevant certification in Fitness is highly desirable

Experience working within the Fitness Industry

Knowledge of and a passion for the Fitness Industry

Good aptitude for sales and striving to meet targets

Good knowledge and competency in Microsoft office applications

Marketing experience is highly regarded

Gym management experience is highly desirable

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintaining member retention and increasing member sales across managing clubs.

Engaging community groups and creating lasting partnerships.

Maintaining high standard of operational procedures. Managing administration, auditing and organisation of the club.

Outstanding communication and leadership skills. You will enjoy interacting with both members of the team and valued members to build the brand and support the team in both a variety of tasks along with mentoring future leaders in order for them to deliver their best performance.

Operational excellence by bringing to the team highly organized and formal operation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while having the willingness to learn and be agile in adapting to new requirements.

Ability to be a role model and live our Viva values, and behaviours while being passionate about our brands. You will demonstrate professionalism, respect, courtesy and support.
