About the role
The Records Manager will be responsible for effectively managing the full records lifecycle at AGS and ensure compliance with evolving policies in the iManage Records Manager (IRM) system is maintained.
In this role you will:
be responsible and accountable for leading, developing and implementing the strategic plan for delivering BAU and project work in relation to AGS’s physical records
maintain appropriate information and security and privacy protocols
ensure currency of knowledge of the Records Management environment in AGS
provide advice to management and staff on legal and regularity requirements in relation to Records Management
provide expert technical advice on records management, legislative compliance and requirements
manage contracts with external records management service provider/s.

About you
This role will suit an experienced Records Manager that will ideally have:
extensive experience in the management of records in government
experience or deep understanding of a legal environment, professional services, or corporate environment is highly regarded
technical ability to manage the IRM system
proven ability to prepare high quality communications
ability to work collaboratively with internal clients across the department
an Information Management qualification e.g. Bachelor of Information Studies.
