About the role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Front of House team member to join our vibrant restaurant, The Birch Geelong, located in Newtown, Victoria. In this full-time role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional customer service and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and seating guests with a friendly and professional manner

Taking food and beverage orders and ensuring prompt and accurate service

Providing recommendations on menu items and wine pairings

Maintaining a clean and organised dining area

Handling cash and card transactions efficiently

Assisting with opening and closing duties as required

Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a similar front of house or customer service role within the hospitality industry

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure

Flexible and adaptable to work in a fast-paced environment

A positive, friendly and professional attitude

An understanding of food and beverage service, including barista experience
