Our little salon and beauty boutique has a warm welcoming atmosphere. It also has an extensive retail shopfront described as a treasure trove of all things beauty.

Established for 14 years, we are looking for an experienced, passionate beauty therapist ready to go, to join our team to support and encourage our boutiques continual growth.

Located in Ascot Vale 3032, close to the city with great public transport facilities.

We are a small friendly salon with a lovely environment for both staff and clientele. We work as a team and always help one another in a non-competitive environment. We have obtained a regular clientele and reputation for high standards in treatments, knowledge, advice and service. We are seeking a special beauty therapist with the right customer service, beauty skills and experience capable of upholding these standards.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are fairly flexible and depending on availability can offer up to 4-5 shifts weekly

20-32 hrs weekly Permanent Part Time or Causal between Tuesday-Saturday.

If only available 2-3 days we may be able to still work with that (12-24 hrs weekly)

Saturday availability and/or at least 1 evening is required.

***.The broader the range of skill +the more your availability (between Tues-Sat), then the more hours we can offer.

This role allows for someone to grow together with the business and can potentially lead to a permanent full time position in future if desired. Once you have shown efficiency, high level in a broad range of skills and ability to build clientele and create business growth.

DAILY DUTIES

This role requires someone who is experienced and confident in all aspects of beauty and the day to day operational needs of a salon. As well as preforming treatments there will be time spent on reception and providing customers with front of shop services such as retailing, makeup consultations/application, recommendation of skincare etc.

REQUIREMENTS

The successful applicant MUST HAVE the following:

1) QUALIFICATION of at least beauty certificate 3

2) EXPERIENCE of 2 years full time in a salon or equivalent (eg 3-4 years Part Time)

3) AVAILABILITY of 3-5 days per week including 1 x evening per week and/or Saturdays. The rest is negotiable.

4) HIGH STANDARD OF SKILLS + EXPERIENCE in a broad range of treatment including but not limited to waxing, spray tans, manicures/pedicures lash treatments, facials and make-up application. Brazilian waxing, lash lifts and massage skills also favorable

5) WARM, FRIENDLY and PROFESSIONAL disposition. Ability to make those around them feel comfortable, build client relationships and provide positive customer service.

6) RETAIL SALES + CLIENT RETENTION. Confidence in making product recommendations, sales and re-booking to sustain a loyal clientele absolutely necessary with every client, every time.

7) Great WORK ETHIC. Ability to work hard, unsupervised and multi-task (such as reception duties). There is always something to do and we value and reward a can do positive attitude.

8) EFFICENCY able to work to the scheduled time allocated for each client's treatment and to strategically manage time to set up, consult and provide after care advice

9) PASSIONATE and interested in beauty products. Willingness to attend product training in own time and stay up to date essential.

10) Excellent personal presentation
