About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Barista to join our team at Good Things Grocer in Tarragindi, Queensland.

This full-time position will be responsible for leading our in-house espresso bar, ensuring exceptional customer service and the delivery of high-quality coffee and beverage offerings.

What you'll be doing

Managing and training a team of baristas to uphold our coffee and customer service standards

Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the espresso bar, including inventory management, scheduling, and quality control

Developing and implementing new menu items, recipes, and specials to keep our offerings fresh and innovative

Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment within the entire store

Providing excellent customer service and building relationships with our community

Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and food handling regulations

What we're looking for

2+ years of experience as a Head Barista or in a senior barista role, preferably in a busy café or coffee shop environment

Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team

Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities to manage a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Food safety and handling certification

Handle customer questions, feedback, and issues like a pro

The position is full time across a Tuesday to Saturday roster
