The purpose of the Barista role is to promote coffee consumption by educating customers, selling and grinding coffee, and proficiently use brewing equipment. As well as preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks.

Main tasks:
⦁ Assist customers by determining their coffee interests and needs
⦁ Educate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drinks menu
⦁ Prepare and sell coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks
⦁ Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organisation standards and sanitation regulations
⦁ Maintain efficient and friendly service standards
⦁ Conduct temperature checks
⦁ Take orders and liase with Café Manager
⦁ Rotate and refill stock as required
⦁ Minmise wastage
⦁ Organise your area to promote efficiency

⦁ Accredited barista certificate (preferred but not essential)
