About the role
We're seeking an experienced Room Leader to join our growing team at Nurtured Education and Care in Gladesville, NSW. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of educators in providing exceptional childcare and educational experiences for the children in your care. This is a full-time role with opportunities for ongoing professional development and career progression. Support is also provided by a Centre Manager, 2iC and Approved Provider who is on site at all times.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of your designated room, ensuring a safe, nurturing and engaging environment for children
• Plan and implement high-quality educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework
• Mentor and support a team of educators, fostering their professional growth and development
• Build strong relationships with children and their families, promoting open communication and collaborative partnerships
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with the centre management team to continuously improve service quality and outcomes for children

What we're looking for

• Certificate 3, Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education
• Minimum 1 years experience as a Room Leader or Senior Educator in a childcare setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Strong organisational and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of managing a team effectively
• Passion for early childhood education and a deep understanding of developmentally appropriate practices
• Commitment to upholding high standards of care and service delivery
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma management certificates
• Working with Children Check
