- $180,000 - $200,000 + Super + Car, Environmental Manager for a leading infrastructure company, driving environmental and sustainability initiatives forward across a major infrastructure project. Location can be flexible within NSW - Sydney or Newcastle ideal.

About the Role
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Environmental Manager to lead environmental planning and compliance across a major project. The role will focus on managing environmental risk, supporting project delivery partners, and ensuring the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs).
Duties
- Manage and oversee environmental performance across the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and contractual commitments.
- Work collaboratively with contractors to develop CEMPs.
- Support the integration of biodiversity assessments, offset strategies, infrastructure sustainability measures, and asset management considerations into project delivery.
- Engage with regulators, delivery partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth approvals and effective environmental stewardship.
- Provide environmental leadership and mentorship to both internal teams and external delivery partners.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role, within infrastructure, civil engineering, construction, or related industries.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental legislation and approvals pathways for major infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) on large-scale projects.
- Ability to lead teams and influence external delivery partners, ensuring high standards of environmental performance and compliance.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
