To be successful, you will have...
- Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Certified as a Diabetes Educator with post registration experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with Aboriginal people and cross-cultural groups.
- Ability to function independently and as part of a multidisciplinary, multi-sectoral and interagency team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence and willingness to travel in small aircraft with overnight stay as required.
Position Profile:
The Clinical Nurse Educator/Generalist Community Nurse is responsible for providing a high level of Primary Health Care, to achieve the optimum state of health for individuals, families and communities in the Fitzroy Valley, with special emphasis on the area of diabetes.
The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at eligible locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months.
