About the role
Malvern Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our innovative residential AOD program working with a strong and highly skilled multidisciplinary team of professionals caring for up to 34 inpatients and 15-20 outpatients a day on a part time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care are provided.

As a Clinical Nurse Educator, your responsibilities will include:

· Identify educational needs by partnering with Nursing Leaders (i.e. DON, NUM, QI)

· Participation in Organisation wide management team and meetings

· Active development and implementation of learning plans

· New staff orientation and skills assessment and training

· Maintaining staff competencies

· Regular implementation of in-service education sessions for staff·

· Managing undergraduate nursing students and bookings

· Demonstrated experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator

· Clinical facilitation and mentorship experience

· Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent

· Current Registration with AHPRA

· Certificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE) minimum

· Awareness and use of NSQHS

· Knowledge of adult learning practices and contemporary education practices

· computer literacy including MS Office, RiskClear Risk System, WebPas patient system

· Self-motivated and accountability of ability to work as part of a highly functioning team in a self-directed role

· Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
