I am a 28 year old female who is looking for a mature female who lives in or around the Mandurah area to support me in my home on a 24-hour basis.

In my spare time, I love to watch TV, play with my beloved cat Angel, watch Tic Tok, do card making, go shopping and spend time with my two children who I see once or twice a week. My children live with a foster carer.

I am looking for someone who is encouraging, friendly, and loves to have a laugh and good yarn. Sometimes, when I have a bad day, I may need some emotional support. I don’t work well with people that rush, are messy or very unorganised. I need a calm, supportive approach at these times. I am very independent; however, I do need some help with my day-to-day activities. I am looking for a mentor and a friend, not a parent. I need someone who will understand me and help me make day-to-day decisions, without telling me what to do. I value being independent and making my own decisions with a little advice when I need it.

This role is 24-hour support and helps me to live my best, most independent life. Being a support worker comes with a robust formal network, including One2One, a person-centered disability provider. They will provide you with the necessary support, understanding and skillset to ensure you can become the best support worker for me.

You will be patient, energetic, respectful, able to share your life experience with me and open to building an ongoing connection. A good sense of humour, a love of music, socialising, and cats are most important.

Essential Qualities and Experience.

Valid Driver’s Licence

Reliable vehicle with comprehensive Insurance

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one.

Current Apply First Aid completed within 3 years, or willingness to obtain one.

Current Working with Children Check

Desirable qualities and experience.

Experience working with person with a brain injury

Experience working with positive behaviour support.

An innovative and curious mind.

The successful candidate/s will also be required to have completed or complete the following training;

Infection Control

Manual Handling Awareness

Medication Management

Safety Interventions
