Who We Are

The Rural Workforce Agency Victoria (RWAV) is a not-for-profit committed to improving access to quality primary healthcare services across rural, regional and First Nations communities in Victoria. Since 1997, we have worked in partnership with communities and stakeholders to deliver innovative workforce solutions and improve health outcomes.

The Role

As the Senior Program Coordinator – Outreach and Regional Services, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating key outreach programs including:

• Medical Outreach Indigenous Chronic Disease Program (MOICDP)

• Healthy Ears, Better Hearing – Better Listening (HEBHBL)

• Ear Health Coordination Program

Your leadership will ensure these programs are effectively delivered in rural and First Nations communities across Victoria, in collaboration with key stakeholders and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs).

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee program delivery, reporting, briefings, events and evaluations

• Strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Provide program advice to the Manager, Outreach and Regional Services

• Support new team members and contribute to a positive team culture

• Promote and streamline support for outreach providers

• Collaborate with ACCOs to co-design responsive strategies

• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to RWAV executive and funding bodies

What You Bring

Essential:

• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or strong experience in health program delivery

• A sound understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

• Experience in stakeholder engagement and collaborative partnerships

• Strong organisational, communication, and reporting skills

• Knowledge of outreach and rural health systems

• Tech-savvy with CRM/database experience (salesforce and JobAdder preferred)

• A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regionally

Desirable:

• Experience working with ACCOs or in rural health

• Understanding of key policies like ‘Closing the Gap’ and Koolin Balit
