The Opportunity

Our client is a local Not-For-Profit based in South Melbourne, currently looking for a temporary Fundraising Support Officer to assist with donor support and administrative activities while the current incumbent is on extended leave.

They are looking for Part-Time coverage from the 19th of May through till July the 11th (8 weeks), working Monday, Wednesday and Fridays, offering an hourly rate of $30.18 + Superannuation.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Be the first point of contact for donor and general enquires received through various channels, including telephone, email, mail or face-to-face interactions.
  • Provide administrative and other support to the Fundraising Team for various campaign and fundraising activities, to assist in making them a success.
  • Undertake and complete follow-up communication with donors and stakeholders relating to their donations or payments as required.
  • Establish and maintain a schedule for donor acknowledgment.
  • Participate and assist in the running of fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Develop and implement efficient donation processing, batching, banking, receipting, and financial reporting systems.
  • Perform data entry, financial processing, and record-keeping for all donations, including allocating funds to campaigns and updating donor details.
  • Develop and provide reports showcasing the impact of donations, illustrating how contributions are making a difference in the Fight Cancer Foundation's mission.
  • Include qualitative and quantitative data to demonstrate the tangible outcomes of donor support.
  • Maintain database integrity with attention to detail and accuracy in recording.
  • Ensure donor database is accurate and up-to-date as calls/emails are received from donors.
  • Provide general administration support to the Fundraising Team as required.

About you:

  • Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship.
  • Experience in data entry & general administration skills, including accurately updating and maintaining a database.
  • Experience working with CRM systems
  • Excellent customer relations skills, through strong communication skills
  • Willingness to provide ad-hoc support as necessary
  • Prior background within Not-For-Profits or Community Services desirable
