Our State Government client is seeking a skilled and articulate Communications Officer (AO4) to join their Stakeholder and Issues Management Team based on the sunshine Coast.

This role is ideal for a communications professional with exceptional writing ability, a keen eye for detail and a passion for stakeholder engagement.

This is a dynamic, writing-focused role that involves crafting high-quality responses to ministerial and executive correspondence, as well as contributing to broader communication initiatives that support community engagement and public relations.

Key responsibilities:

• Ministerial and executive correspondence
• Briefing notes, media statements and responses to media enquiries
• Speech notes, parliamentary business, newsletters and online engagement content

• Provide accurate and timely communications advice and correspondence support to regional staff using appropriate communication tools
• Coordinate, research, draft and edit a wide range of materials including:
  
• Undertake stakeholder consultation and community engagement during project development and delivery
• Coordinate and update content on regional webpages to ensure project and initiative relevance
• Deliver training and support to staff and consultants to promote consistency, improve communication skills and strengthen stakeholder relationships

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience in communication, media and stakeholder engagement
• Exceptional written communication skills with strong attention to tone and audience
• Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams
• Previous government or public sector experience is highly regarded
