Our client is a distributor of a range of industrial equipment and devices to various industries. Due to sustained growth we are seeking to add an experienced Inventory Controller to their operations based in Brisbane’s southern suburbs. This role revolves around the distribution of equipment, parts and consumables for industrial coding and marking systems. Whilst our ideal candidate would have an affinity for spare parts and some technical understanding, your strong stock control skills and attention to detail will ultimately carry the day. Reporting to the Director, your day-to-day will include:

• Monitoring of spare parts and consumable stock in warehouse including min/max levels using enterprise software
• Handling of Purchase Orders
• Shipping and freight requirements for outgoing stock
• Overview of consumable products to ensure compliance with expiry dates
• Stocktake, stock forecasting and demand planning
• Some customer service functions as required – order updates etc.

Our successful candidate will possess most or all of the following skills:

• Previous experience in an inventory control position essential, within a machinery/technical setting a distinct advantage
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent computer and data entry skills
• Able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and use initiative
• Comfortable in dealing with a range of stakeholders – internal, suppliers, customers etc.
