Preparing and analysing financial reports for internal use and presentation to the College Board and external regulators.

Serve as a trusted advisor to the Rissalah College Board, College Principals, and senior leadership team on financial matters.

Develop, maintain and oversee finance processes and College financial systems, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.

Monitor and analyse financial performance against the budget, providing regular updates on and insights on actual spend against the budget to the Rissalah College Board, College Principals and the senior leadership team.

Identify and recommend cost-saving measures, efficiency improvements, and revenue-generating opportunities.

Coordinating and maintaining effective accounting systems, including digital platforms for invoicing, payroll, and general ledger functions.

Ensuring compliance with taxation, superannuation, and payroll legislation, and preparing BAS, PAYG, and GST reports.

Liaising with auditors, the ATO, ASIC, and relevant educational funding authorities on compliance matters.

Developing internal financial controls and ensuring their consistent application across College operations.

Maintaining accurate and timely financial records for government reporting, funding applications, and audit readiness.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (required)

At least 1 years of relevant work experience in accounting or financial management

Familiarity with financial reporting and compliance in the not-for-profit or education sector (preferred)

Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar platforms)

Skills and Competencies:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools

Australian citizens and permanent residents are preferred.
