ARL Laboratory Services Pty Ltd is an experienced service organization specializing in Non- Destructive Testing, providing quality service to leading companies worldwide. ARL provides a diverse range of NDT services with accurate data, expert support and maintains high levels of safety and innovation. Due to expansion in business ARL is looking for an accountant join our accounts team to help with the preparation of various financial documents working closely with the Managing Director and Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities:

 Manage and optimize accounting functions, including accounts receivable and payable.

 Lead and develop the Finance team with a focus on mentoring, training, and performance reviews.

 Oversee daily cash flow management, ensuring accurate reporting and optimal liquidity and support business operation

 Prepare financial reports including financial reports that are prepared and the action taken in preparing financial reports e.g. providing financial advice etc.

 Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations, including BAS, FBT, Income Tax, and Payroll Tax.

 Provide financial analysis and strategic financial advice to support business decision-making.

 Drive financial operational excellence by implementing best practices, controls, and transparent reporting across ARL and ensure accurate financial reporting.

 Coordinate the preparation of annual statutory accounts and external audits.

 Monitor and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk and improve efficiency.

 Oversee and manage all aspects of the financial reporting process, including monthly, half-yearly, and annual closing procedures.

 Lead the preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations for management, and board of directors, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of company performance and compliance with relevant regulations.

 Ensure bolt on acquisitions are brought into the business smoothly and accounted for accurately.

Ideal Candidate:

 Bachelor’s degree qualification in accounting, commerce or a related discipline.

 CA/CPA qualified with a strong technical accounting foundation (ASX experience preferred).

 Relevant 2 years’ experience in financial accounting and financial systems.

 Experienced in fast-paced, high-growth environments, ideally within the technology sector.

 A commercially minded problem-solver with a track record of process improvement and efficiency gains.

 Hands-on and detail-oriented, while also comfortable with big-picture strategic initiatives.

 Experience with NetSuite is highly desirable.

 Experience in financial analysis, data reporting, and working with financial management system.
