The Opportunity

Well-established global retail business is looking for an experienced AR officer to support the team with the accounts receivable and reconciliation functions.

You'll work with a supportive finance team, for an organisation that has growth trajectories in mind.

The Role:

This opening comes about due to internal promotion and is a great foot in the door. Reporting to the Finance manager your responsibilities will include:

• Processing daily banking from stores, retail and wholesale customers
• Follow up outstanding banking
• Key point of contact for stores regarding banking/cash allocation
• Reconciliations and variance analysis for retail stores
• Weekly sales reconciliations and reporting
• Debtor reporting
• Assist with preparation of weekly cashflow and rolling forecasts
• Debt monitoring, reporting and collections
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Generating invoices
• Ad hoc duties where necessary

About you:

• Minimum 3 years experience in a relevant role
• Bonus if you have experience working in retail
• Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency and computer literacy
• Experience in large ERP systems
• Excellent written and communications skills
• Must be immediately available or on short-notice
