The Town of Port Hedland is looking for Casual Swim School Instructor to join our Leisure Team in 2025.
As Swim School Instructor you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in our community as you teach children from 6 months of age to adults, key life skills that can be applied to any aquatic environment, especially living within the Pilbara Region.
The Swim School Instructor position is causal, and the hours are set by your availability.
- Swim School runs Monday to Saturdays
- Infant-Preschool (6months to 4 years) lesson Monday to Thursday 9am to 12.30pm
- Afterschool program (5 to 17 years) run from Monday to Friday 3pm to 6pm
- Saturday morning lessons run 8.15am to 1pm
Work Related Requirements
The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- Austswim Certified or equivalent
- First Aid and CPR certification
- National Police Clearance
- Current 'C' class driver's license
- Rights to work in Australia
- Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check Card
