We are seeking a number of friendly, qualified and enthusiastic swim instructors who enjoy working with children. There are currently positions across all 4 of our pools at Coorparoo, Holland Park, Wishart and particularly the Indooroopilly area where we are commencing our 5th pool in Fig Tree Pocket. Our newest pool is located near the Fig Tree Pocket State School and requires a new team of teachers. There is an opportunity for teachers with an energetic and fun personality, has patients and the ability practice creative thinking when planning and executing lessons. Majority of our students will come from the Language Disorder Specialist School, therefor the opportunity to work with students with a variety special needs will be an exciting component of this role.

For the successful applicant that has the 'Teachers of swimming and water safety' qualification, they will have the chance to complete the 'Teacher of access and inclusion' course free of charge.

Applicants must be able to commit to your allocated hours throughout the school term and school holiday periods, across our learn to swim programs.

Not qualified? Have no experience? currently at high school or at uni and have no money? No problem! We can talk to you about completing our Element Swimming Traineeship. In your cover letter simply state this is something you'd be interested in and we can explain how it works.

About you:

We are looking for candidates who consider themselves reliable and have a passion for swimming and teaching children. Plus good communication skills, creativity and enthusiasm are a must. You'd be working as part of a great team and would be able to attend the team activities we often plan throughout the year.

Our swimming programs operate from 3:00 p.m. until 6.00 p.m. Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings from 8.00 a.m. till 11.00 a.m. There are also weekday mornings available and school time hours during term and 4.

Plenty of parking and close to public transport. Plus, all staff members can swim in our adult squad for free!
