Lakeview Private Hospital (LPH) is an established multidisciplinary private hospital located at Bella Vista, Sydney. An opportunity exists for a highly motivated Set Up Technician to work on a permanent full time or part time basis.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

Complete set ups for all specialties in our operating theatres.

Ensure fast tracked items from the sterilisation department are transferred efficiently between departments

Liaise with Loans Co-ordinator and distribute loan items to correct lists.

Liaise with Theatre Supply Co-ordinator to follow up with back orders or missing consumables.

Co-ordinate high demand instruments (e.g camera and light leads) with individual theatres and prioritise theatre needs as per demand.

Checks expiry dates and ensures cleanliness of storerooms.

Puts leftover consumables/instruments away when a list has finished.

Candidates suitable to this role will have the following:

Experience in a similar role, CSSD or an AIN who has sterilisation experience

High attention to detail

Experience in a Hospital is essential and experience in operating theatres would be beneficial.

Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

Commitment to quality, best practice and environmental safety

Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

Strong organisational skills
