Role Overview
The Project Support Assistant - CHSP is part of the SydWest’s Aged Care Team which is part of SydWest’s Aged Care Services Division. This position is responsible for providing individual assistance to SydWest’s Aged Care Consumers as outlined in their individual care plans. The Project Support Assistant role is a crucial frontline role which ensures all consumers needs are met and all services are delivered to a Gold Standard.
Key Accountabilities
Provide Gold Standard, Respectful and Culturally Sensitive Centre-based Respite and Group Social Support to SydWest’s Aged Care Consumers
Provide Gold Standard Customer Service to all SydWest Aged Care Consumers
Provide SydWest’s Aged Care Consumers services consistent with Aged Care Quality Standards and Aged Care Quality & Safety Commission Policies & Procedures
Adhere to SydWest’s Policies & Procedures related to the work being undertaken in order to ensure own & others safety in the workplace
Ensuring own and others safety in working within a community related role
Essential Criteria
Bilingual Desired
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support / Ageing or experience in running group-based activities
Minimum P2 Driver's license and access to a fully registered and comprehensively insured motor vehicle;
Personal Smart Phone & Internet Access
Basic computer knowledge
Availability & flexibility to work a variety of shifts from Monday to Friday
Effective verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with a broad audience
Knowledge and Ability in supporting consumers from a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Background
Awareness of the Aged Care Quality Standards and Aged Care Quality & Safety Commission
Current Australian National Police check
Current Working with Children Check
Current First Aid Certificate
