St John of God Bendigo Hospital is a 122-bed contemporary private hospital located in central Victoria providing high quality acute medical and surgical health care services for people in Bendigo and surrounding areas.
Your Position at St John of God Bendigo Hospital
You will be responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care and the coordination and supervision of care delivered by junior staff and students.

The Position:
The overseeing of total patient care.
Being aware of all patient's needs, conditions, and progress.
Being in contact with patients throughout the shift.
Ensuring all patient needs are met.
Involving patients in their own care and decision making.
Ensuring nursing care is carried out and documented using nursing history, care plans and / or care pathway.
Ensuring medical treatment requests are carried out and documented properly, consulting with doctors if unclear.
Ensuring that nursing activities are planned and carried out in an organised manner.
Maintain & continue to improve technical skills such as the interpretation of ECG's, insertion of intravenous cannulae, chest pain management, & other skills relating to Critical Care.
Ensuring all nursing procedures are carried out in a safe manner.
Ensuring that the quality of work performed is of a high standard.
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and demonstrate ability to use his / her initiative, reliability and thereby require minimal supervision and guidance.
To succeed you will have appropriate skills and competencies related to Perioperative services and have recent clinical experience as a Scrub Scout Registered Nurse.

The Benefits:
Salary: $68,093 to $96,175 per annum (pro rata for part time), plus 11.5% superannuation
A Permanent Full / Part time position available.
