About the role:

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a small, agile team within the solutions & applications team. This position is a 12-month fixed term engagement with view to move permanent thereafter and will sit within the senior project delivery team, made up of 4 Senior Software specialists.
You’ll play a key role in managing and optimising integration solutions built primarily on Microsoft Azure services.

The team have more than 20 integration solutions in flight connected via; Azure Function Apps, Logic Apps, Event Hubs, and Azure Data Factory (ADF). With recent system upgrades across the Student Management System (SMS) and Learning Management System (LMS), a focus on smoother data integrity and seamless synchronization between these platforms is critical.

Key responsibilities:

• Own and manage Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines and integration workflows
• Develop APIs and leverage ADF as an ETL tool to transform and synchronize data
• Provide technical guidance on solution design, enhancements, change requests, and optimizations
• Collaborate within a cross-functional delivery teams to implement robust solutions
• Document integration workflows and maintain alignment with architectural standards
• Contribute to both project and BAU workstreams
• Support Azure provisioning and ongoing platform management

About you:

You're a confident Senior Integration Engineer who thrives in high-trust, high-impact environment. You bring strong expertise in cloud-based integration and want to contribute meaningfully to both technical delivery and the ongoing evolution of best practices. You may also be considering a future step into a Technical Lead position.

You’ll bring:

• Proven experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Practical knowledge of Azure integration services: Function Apps, Logic Apps, Event Hubs
• Strengths & familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps workflows, and automation tooling
• Effective written and verbal communication with strong documentation habits
• A proactive mindset and collaborative approach to team delivery
• Exposure to LMS platforms (e.g. Moodle), identity tools (e.g. Entra ID) would be useful
