About Us:

Connected Libraries are located in the City of Casey, which is one of Victoria’s largest, fastest growing and most diverse municipalities. We serve our community with 5 Libraries, a Library Lounge, 3 sets of 24/7 library lockers and a growing outreach service that extends across the municipality.

About the Role:

We have 2 wonderful permanent part-time opportunities to join our Connected Libraries Adult Programs Team to develop and deliver adult programs to our community.

These exciting roles will enable you to deliver friendly customer service to our diverse communities throughout City of Casey region, along with growing our adult programs to meet our growing community needs.

Hours:

Position 1 – 18 hours per week

Monday Bunjil Place Library 5.15-9.15 (fixed shift)

Thursday 7 hour shift (various times and location)

Friday 7 hour shift (various times and location)

Weekends - 1 Saturday shift every 4 weeks and 1 Sunday shift every 4 weeks.

Position 2 – 22 hours per week

Tuesday Bunjil Place Library 5.15pm - 9.15pm (fixed Shift)

Wednesday Bunjil Place Library 5.15pm - 9.15pm (fixed Shift)

Thursday (7 hour shift, various times and location)

Friday Bunjil Place Library 10am - 6pm (fixed shift)

Weekends - 1 Saturday shift every 4 weeks and 1 Sunday shift every 4 weeks.

About you:

We are ideally looking for highly flexible individual who can adapt quickly to fast paced working environments and thrive on providing excellent customer service skills with multi-cultural and diverse communities.

You will have:

Knowledge and skills gained through on-the-job training commensurate with the requirements of the role

Post-trade or other post-secondary education

Proven experience facilitating programs, either in public libraries or in a teaching capacity

Ability to effectively and efficiently provide quality customer service

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with all ages across all levels of community

Sound organisational skills

Strong information technology and problem-solving skills in a range of information technology and software tools

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organisational strategic outcomes

Ability to undertake supervisory responsibilities as required

Driver’s licence

Working with Children Check
