About the role

As a Fabricator/Leading Hand at Advanced Concrete Engineering (ACE), you will play a key role in the production and assembly of various elements (steel, aluminium, stainless) at our facility located in South Murwillumbah, NSW. ACE performs a lot of work in water infrastructure, both in design and construction of new reservoirs and remedial/upgrade work to existing water assets. We have a pipeline of work in hand and are seeking someone that fits the team culture we have in place here.This is a full-time position that offers opportunities for career growth and development within a company regarded as an industry leader in our space.

What you'll be doing

Fabricate, assemble and install structural elements primarily for water-retaining infrastructure to current Australian Standards

Lead and mentor a team of fabricators, ensuring efficient and high-quality work

Operate a variety of power tools and equipment used in the fabrication process

Provide input on process improvements and introduce innovative solutions

Liaise with project managers and clients to ensure timely delivery of projects

Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Fabricator or Boilermaker in the construction or manufacturing industry

Strong technical skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, welding, and operating fabrication equipment

Demonstrated experience in leading a team and providing guidance and support to less experienced fabricators

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Relevant trade qualifications or certifications, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade
