The Business:
An organisation that truly makes a difference, this training and education provider partners with large, blue chip multinational enterprise as well as local businesses to provide courses and personnel related to all things safety and rescue. Due to establishing a rock-solid foundation and creating a highly trusted brand and service, they are looking to expand their business by increasing their already impressive market share.

The Role:
Reporting to the Founder and CEO, this is a key Executive Leadership position where you will be accountable for driving the overall training division’s financial targets, executing the strategic growth plan, optimise the sales team and operations, and cultivate a strong organisational culture in alignment with their core values.
One of your main responsibilities is to drive sales to align with the business’s growth strategy to double revenue in 5 years, through both organic and acquired expansion. Other key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:-

  • Develop and implement growth and business improvement strategies
  • Drive revenue growth with aligned sales strategies and drive financial performance across the training division
  • Optimise people, process, systems and technology across the division
  • Driving outstanding customer feedback with high quality training, customer service, and compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high-performance.
  • Liaise and develop relationships with FSA internal and external stakeholders and advisors.
  • Manage, lead and develop 5 direct reports consisting of the National Sales Manager, HR Lead, Training Manager, Customer Service Manager and the Compliance Manager as well as overseeing the entire division of circa 65-70 FTEs and 40-60 casual staff.
  • Being customer centric and increasing customer engagement by enhancing customer experience
  • Use the technology resources and CRMs available to analyse data, monitor and manage campaigns and form on going strategies
  • Assist the CEO with strategic analysis of business strategies including CAPEX, acquisitions, new divisions, and new products.

The Candidate:
This role is suited to those who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a demonstrated track record of achieving growth. This GM is a strong and experienced leader who can lead the Training Division to achieve the revenue and business growth goals while maintaining high standards of RTO compliance, quality, and client service. In addition, this candidate will have:-

  • Proven team management and leadership and be able to develop and grow their teams
  • Proven experience and track-record of achievement as a senior executive role within mid-market growth companies in a business-to-business services environment, that have executed scale and growth strategies
  • Strong track record of driving business growth and achieving sales and financial targets in a medium-sized private business environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing and optimising functions and teams across various functions, including Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Compliance, and HR.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset.
  • A high level of commercial acumen and think wholistically across the entire business when managing budgets, spend and ROIs
  • Proven leadership skills being a key and influential part of the ELT and to inspire those around them
