At Metro Signs, we’re offering an exciting opportunity to join a nationally respected signage manufacturer as an Apprentice Spray Painter. Based in Epping, our family-owned business has been shaping Australia’s signage landscape for over 30 years – producing large-scale, illuminated, and custom signs for major brands across the country.

We’re preferably seeking a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice who is ready to step into a fast-paced environment and grow with us – but we’re also open to the right first-year candidate who’s enthusiastic, driven, and ready to learn.

About the Role

Working alongside experienced tradespeople in our in-house production facility, you’ll gain real-world experience and develop high-end spray painting skills for the signage industry. You’ll learn to:

Prepare and repair surfaces (filling, sanding, smoothing)

Mix and match paint colours with precision

Mask, prime and spray various signage materials

Use industry-standard spray booths and equipment

Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace

Support other general signage manufacturing tasks

About You

We're looking for someone who’s hands-on, proactive and excited to build a career in a specialised industry. You might already be in your 2nd or 3rd year of a spray painting apprenticeship — or you might be just starting out, with a strong work ethic and genuine passion for learning the trade.

You’ll bring:

An interest in spray painting, fabrication, or hands-on work

Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

A willingness to learn new techniques and processes

Reliability, punctuality and a strong sense of pride in your work

Ability to follow instructions and work within a team

A commitment to safety and responsibility in the workshop

Bonus if you have:

Previous exposure to manufacturing or signage (not essential)

A strong interest in colour, finish, or decorative effects

A creative mindset and forward-thinking attitude

Hours: 6:30am–3:00pm Mon–Thurs, 6:30am–1:00pm Fri

Immediate start available

Must have full Australian working rights
