About the Opportunity
YFS is looking for a full-time Program Manager – Intensive Family Support, based in Jimboomba, QLD.
Reporting to the Client Service Manager, you will lead a skilled team supporting families at risk of entering the child protection system. Your leadership will empower the team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed case management that promotes safety, strengthens relationships, and helps families thrive.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Leading and managing an established multidisciplinary team
Embedding trauma-informed, child-focused practices across service delivery
Ensuring compliance with practice frameworks, legislative requirements and service standards
Analysing program data and evaluation outcomes to drive improvements and identify system gaps
Building collaborative partnerships with government, NGOs, and other YFS teams (e.g. housing, DFV)
Advocating for systemic change and sustainable support solutions in a high-demand environment
Overseeing professional development, supervision, and operational planning for your team
About You
To qualify, you will need a degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or a related discipline. A minimum of 3 years in a leadership or senior practitioner role is essential. Due to funding requirements, holding a relevant degree is non-negotiable, although near-completion may be considered in exceptional cases.
Additionally, the following skills and experience will be highly valued:
Knowledge of child protection legislation and risk assessment frameworks
Familiarity with the Safe & Together™ model or other strengths-based, trauma-informed frameworks
Demonstrated strategic thinking and the ability to manage complexity and diverse priorities
Strong attention to detail while maintaining a focus on the big picture
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
High emotional intelligence and a resilient, approachable leadership style
