About the role
As the Business Unit Manager for our Spare Parts and Logistics team at Headland Technology Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in growing the spare parts, inventory and distribution businesses as well as the team.
This full-time position is based in Rydalmere, NSW or in Burwood VIC and is responsible for the growth and development of the spare parts department as well as ensuring the efficient and cost-effective management of the company's logistics operations.
What you'll be doing
Revenue Growth
Focus on growth; with existing markets and channels, new, and plan for possible future markets and channels.
Work closely with IT and Marketing to develop our ecommerce go-to-market plan and platform and integrated systems.
Develop strategic intent, investment planning and presenting this to the executive team with confidence and clarity.
Analyse in-house and external market data to identify opportunities.
Generate reports to monitor key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan inventory requirements.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the company's spare parts and logistics operations.
Operational
Manage the procurement, warehousing and distribution of the company's spare parts inventory to support field service operations.
Develop and implement strategies to optimise inventory levels, reduce costs and improve supply chain efficiency.
Work with OEM partners to ensure purchasing information is readily available and cost effective.
Commercial
Manage a P/L as a Business Unit Leader
Ensure pricing strategies are competitive.
Work collaboratively with OEM's to maintain pricing to a level that ensures Headland's business model remains sustainable.
Team Development
Build a high-performance team and culture through; recruitment, coaching, mentoring, motivation and inspiring leadership.
Client Experience
Understand the needs of our clients and action opportunities to provide a better client experience.
What we're looking for
Experience in business development, start-ups or similar with scale-up know how.
Strong customer facing skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
A proven track record of exceptional business development through strong negotiation skills that will drive competitive advantage.
Growing our business by adopting tech savvy processes and leveraging new technology to achieve this.
Some knowledge or experience in spare parts and logistics management, preferably in the manufacturing, transport or logistics industries.
Some understanding of supply chain management principles, inventory control and distribution logistics.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
Proven experience in leading and managing a team of professionals.
Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.
