Our client, a very well funded Federal Government entity focussed on ensuring the democracy is seeking 3 x Lead Data Managers to join their team in July.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing compliance and health of the database fleet, driving database automation initiatives for repeatable requirements, and developing service capabilities in the Azure cloud
• Managing and overseeing the health of database fleet, including reviewing SQL server clusters to improve system performance
• Ensuring the effective delivery, operation and maintenance of SQL Server clustered implementations and Azure SQL Managed Instance systems
• Patching management of SQL databases in compliance with ISM controls, inline with internal policy and best practice management of database fleet in accordance with ISM policy guidelines

Criteria

• Production operational support of Microsoft SQL Server 2016 through to 2019 and Azure SQLMI platforms and automation of SQL Server processes using PowerShell and T-SQL
• T-SQL skills including performance analysis of T-SQL queries, assisting developer teams with T-SQL query techniques, database design and modelling and experience in building data pipelines and integration systems in support of operational and data warehousing needs
• Proven and demonstrable skills in SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL XML, SQL JSON and PowerShell
• Experience with data visualisation products including PowerBI
