The Fieldwork Placement Coordinator provides critical support for CDU students throughout the workplace lifecycle.
About the Position
As the Fieldwork Placement Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering all aspects related to student Fieldwork Placement, Internship and Work-Integrated-Learning in the Humanitarian, Emergency and Disaster Management (HEDM) course. The successful appointee will work with HEDM team members, Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Team and key Agency/Industry Stakeholders. The position of FPC represents the university in providing oversight and support for the student before, during and after the work placement.
About You (Selection Criteria)
To be successful, you will require:
- Applicant must hold a minimum of AQF Level- 7 (Bachelor’s Degree) or above qualification in welfare work, community services, human services, social work, or the like.
- Applicant must have at least three year’s broad and relevant practical experience (post-qualification) in the community services industry.
- Experience of fieldwork placement supervision and coordination at the bachelor’s degree level of above.
- Experience of teaching, tutoring, coaching and mentoring students for professional fieldwork placement, work-integrated-learning, internship, and the like in community services industry
- Experience of working with the universities or higher education providers
- Experience in facilitating and evaluating the educational progress of the student and to resolve any problems which may have arisen during a fieldwork placement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills engaging a wide range of audiences, and successful experience in collaborative endeavours.
- Desirable qualifications and professional experience:
- Postgraduate level qualification such as PhD, Masters by Research, Masters by coursework

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at HE Academic Level A. The base salary will be in the range of $74,157 – $111,253 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $86,763 - $130,166 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
